Glenda Fassett

Glenda Eleanor Fassett, 81, died Monday, May 19, 2014 at her home in Durango. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1018 County Road 250, Durango. Officiating is Mr. Gary D. Oliver. Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango.
Mrs. Fassett was born January 19, 1933 in Colorado Springs, Colorado the daughter of Glenn and Eleanor Murray. She grew up in Colorado Springs and lived in the city but really enjoyed the country. She met Harry Fassett in Colorado Springs and they were married on May 9, 1955 in Aztec, New Mex. She was a housewife all her life. She was a great cook and liked to garden. She enjoyed caring for animals, like to read, extended herself to ministry work and was a devoted Jehovah's Witness.
She is survived by Harry Fassett (husband) of Durango, Debbie Fassett (daughter) of Durango, Donald Wesley Murray (brother) of California, Karl Douglas Murray (brother) of Colorado Springs, six nieces and nephews and numerous other extended relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three nephews.
