Obituary for Shaniah Farmer

Bayfield resident Shaniah Jordan Farmer died in a car accident on Tuesday, March 22, 2001, in Junction, Texas. She was 13 and a member of the Class of 2016.

Shaniah was born to Ryan and Deanna Farmer on Febuary 11, 1998 in Bayfield, Colorado.

Shaniah enjoyed spending her days with her horse, Bubba, running barrels and participating in rodeos in Colorado and Texas. She was a member of the Bayfield Riders 4-H Club, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7th grade basketball team and her favorite sport volleyball. She had recently joined a traveling volleyball team which allowed her to travel the state and enjoy time with friends and family. If you were to ask Shaniah what her perfect day would be, she would say running Bubba in the morning, shopping in the afternoon, having dinner with her family and than a sleepover at night with all of her friends. She was a very out-going, fun loving person who didin't have a mean bone in her body. She touched everyone she meet in some way and for that she will be greatly missed.

Shaniah is survived by her father and mother, Ryan and Deanna Farmer; brother Hayden and sister Aubree, all of Bayfield; Grandpartents Dean and Arlene Cundiff, Great-grandparents Bob and Verna Farmer of Nucla, CO; Uncles Jimmy Cundiff of Bayfield, Timmy Farmer of Pagosa Springs and Audey Farmer of Montrose, CO; Aunts Cassie Murphy of Phoenix, AZ, Kerrie Shelby of Farmington and Dawna Morris of Nucla, CO and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. She was proceeded in death by her paternal grandparents Alvin and Frances Farmer.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 28, 2011 at 12 noon at the Bayfield High School and burial will follow at the Pine River Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be sent to Ryan Farmer, C/O the Bank of Colorado, 1199 Main Avenue, Durango, CO 81301.
