Eric Anthony Braun

Eric Anthony Braun passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024 at Mercy Hospice House in Durango, Colorado surrounded by family. He was 60 years young. He was born in St. Paul Minnesota the son of Lawrence and Rosemaire Braun. He attended Frank B. Kellogg High School and School of the Associated Arts before venturing across country to spread his wings. While traveling he fell in love with Durango and the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. He began working summers for the railroad in 1989 and was determined to stay. At the DSNG he worked as a fireman, engineer, and carman. In 2002 he married Beth Erdman of Roseville Minnesota. His yearning for the railroad and Colorado brought Eric back to Durango full time in late 2015. He loved hiking and camping. He was noted for his artistic talents, crazy humor and quick wit. He will be missed by many. He is survived by his siblings Lisa, Ceil, Karl and Marie and his former spouse, Beth Erdman.

A celebration of life will be held to share memories and food with friends and family 4:00 pm Saturday July 13, 2024 at the Hogan residence 2703 N. College Dr. Durango.
