Obituary for Susan Williamson Dulin

Sue passed away peacefully in her home on January 14th 2013 with her family by her side. Born to Ruth and Frederick Warren Williamson in Los Angeles, CA. Married to Partner-in-Life, Robert S. Dulin in May 1955. Loving daughter, sister, cousin, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and wife, "Susie" thoroughly and truly loved her family and friends. She was active in numerous civic groups in California including the Pasadena Garden Club, Junior League of Pasadena, Pasadena Guild of the Children's Hospital, and Las Madrinas before moving to Bayfield, Colorado in 1977. She was active in the Bayfield Study Club, bridge groups, fund raising efforts for Cystic Fibrosis and other organizations. Sue loved to travel with family and friends. Major holidays and summer visits to the ranch were favorite family gathering occasions. Sue was a gracious hostess. She loved animals and enjoyed her dogs and cat, bald eagles, deer, elk and all the other wildlife that inhabit the ranch. She was passionate about her flowers and garden, Paint Horses, Texas Longhorn cattle, crossword puzzles, the Broncos, and the NFL (Susie would definitely take the 49ers). Susie enthusiastically attended cattle sales, horse shows, in addition to helping with activities on the family ranch in the Pine River Valley. In the words of her grandchildren, Granny was kind hearted, unselfish, passionate, peachy, genuine, selfless, formidable, generous, kind, supportive, and super! She loved them all. In her later years, Sue carried a wicked cane that Bob felt on occasion. Susie is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter Cinnie Herr and her husband Frank, their children Charlie, Dulie, Meg and Tom (LaGrange, IL); sons Jim and his fiancé Janet (Edwards, CO) and his children Hunter, Tyler and Callie; and Ken and his wife Sally, their daughters Molly, Katie and Kelly (Niwot, CO). Both of her brothers, Spud and Tad Williamson and their families live in Pasadena, CA and nearby regions. There will be a private service to celebrate and honor Susie at the Pine River Ranch at a date to be determined in the spring.
