Margaret Pauline Doney
Margaret Pauline Doney, 81, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in Durango, Colorado . Services will be announced at a later date.
Mrs. Doney was born January 21, 1933 in Austin, Texas the daughter of Edward and Olene Peschka. She lived in Dallas, San Antonia and Houston. She graduated High School in Austin and began attending the University of Texas at Austin, completing one year, before she met a handsome young soldier. She married Clyde Doney on July 14, 1951 in Austin. They lived in Austin until 1954 when Clyde’s carreer required a relocation to Arlington, Tex.. They both worked at Chance Vought Aircraft and Margaret did so while running the household. The family moved to Denver, again for Clyde’s carreer in 1959.
After return move to Arlington, the family moved to Durango in 1970 to setup their foundry, Doney Sculpture Studio and Foundry which Clyde and Margaret operated together.
She is survived by her husband Clyde of Durango, 3 children: Donna Spray of Alto, N.M., Jeanilynn Jabsen of Schindellegi Switzerland, and Mark Doney of Littleton, Colo., 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren (and one on the way).
She was preceded in death by her parents.
