Moises ""Moy" " Dominguez
On the morning of Nov. 12 2013, Moy passed away at SJRMC in Farmington N.M after suffering a heart attack. He was 65. Moy was born in Madera Chihuahua May 10, 1948. He later moved to Farmington N.M, and married Viola Dominguez which ended in divorce after 33 years, and had 3 children. Moy was an amazing guitar player, and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music. His ringtone on his phone was "Blueberry hill". He enjoyed watching boxing, soccer, and operation repo. Moy was an excellent mechanic, and also had a green thumb. You would find him outside cleaning his yard, watering his flowers and fruit trees, or in his garden of jalapenos, tomatoes, garlic, and watermelon. Moy was also a roofer and started his company "Sunbright Roofing" in which he later retired due to his health. Moy loved going to the casino, in which he referred to as "therapy". He was best known by his family and friends, for having a heart attack, and on his way to the hospital, would ask to stop at the casino first to play $10. He was a jokester and a prankster around those who knew him well, in his younger days he played poker and was also a pool shark. But, Moys biggest passion was his grandkids whom he loved more than anything as well as spending time with family and friends. Moy is survived by his uncle and aunt Faustino and Soccoro Trujillo (whom raised him and he thought of as his mom and dad) of El Paso Texas. His cousins who he also referred to as brothers and sisters,Rosa Trujillo, Gloria (Luis) Montanez, Genoveva (Martin) Espino, Martin Santana, Jose (Adriana) Trujillo all of El Paso Texas. His aunt Carolina Trujillo of Farmington N.M, His oldest daughter Martha Dominguez (fiance Casey Gomez) of Durango Co, only son Moises ( wife Charice) Dominguez of Ignacio Co , youngest daughter Julie Dominguez (fiance Terry Corbin) of Farmington N.M, 5 grandkids Armondo, Alonso, Arnesto, Freedom, and Ocean all of Ignacio Co., numerous cousins, nephews, neices, and friends. Moy was proceeded in death by his grandmother Francisca Fierro, uncle Hector Fierro, aunt Eldemira Fierro, sister Horencia Monclova, a cousin he called his sister Lydia Santana, and a grand baby "Bob" Dominguez Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are Mario Fierro, Juan Fierro, Cruz Fierro, Bert Fierro, Jimmy Fierro, Mark Fierro, Tolin Velasquez, Jesus Monclova. Pallbearers are Carlos Monclova, Rosendo Orrantia, Servando Lopez, Chris Olguin, Todd King, Antonio Velasquez. Funeral services will be held Nov. 25, 2013 at the St. Mary's church in Farmington N.M. a viewing will be at 10 a.m followed by a rosary and mass. A burial will take place at Memory Gardens ending with a lunch memorial at the St. Mary's Parish Hall. On behalf of the Dominguez kids we would like to thank everyone who was a part of our dads life near and far, we also ask in leiu of flowers, donations be made to Moys children or to Hood Mortuary in Durango Co. to cover final funeral costs.
