Obituary for Charles L. "Chuck" Davis Jr.
Charles “Chuck” L Davis Jr. passed away at his home in La Plata County Sunday, December 16, 2012.
He was born to Lena and Charles “Charley” L. Davis Sr. on July 20, 1931, in Bayfield. After graduating from Durango High School, he enlisted in the US Navy serving in Korea. He returned to the Durango and Bayfield communities, where he lived until his passing. He was employed in the construction trade. He retired from the La Plata County Road Dept. in 1993.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Davis; and sister, Peggy Elmore. He is survived by children Debbie Myers of Centrialia, Wash., Leonna Carrillo of Lovelock, Nev., Robert Davis and wife Sue of Parkio, Mo., and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
