On Friday, February 17th, we received the shocking news that our beloved David had passed from injuries sustained from a snowboarding accident. David is everything to so many people: a friend, a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin and a nephew. But his most important role in life was that as Dada. There was nothing more important to him than Tucker and Milo and sharing his love of the outdoors with his boys. In the warmer months, David could always be found in the great outdoors: kayaking, rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking, or hitting the skate park. Then as soon as the snow flurries would start to fly, he would be the first to skin up for fresh tracks, or lace up to hit the ice.
David always rolled with the punches and was such a powerful and positive force; the stoke was always high in his presence. He was successfully growing his business, Diaz Tile, and met someone that he truly cherished, Jessica Clark. We can only imagine how beautiful his future would have been. His spirit will always be with us. When you see the sparkle of the snow on a bluebird day, or the twinkles of a million stars at night, think of David and how much he appreciated that beauty and loved to share it with the many people he loved, and the many that love him.
David is survived by his two sons, Milo Diaz and Tucker Diaz; his mother Lourdes Diaz and partner Karen Barner; his father Hector Diaz and wife Lisa Diaz; his brother Rafael Diaz and his wife Sarah Diaz, and his niece Sofia Diaz and nephew Sebastian Diaz.
