Wilma Daum passes away peacefully Friday, October 22, 2021 at her home, she was 97.
Wilma was born March 15, 1924 to Phillip and Mary Haas in Windsor, Colorado. She was the second of three children born. There they farmed and harvested produce.
She married Don Daum December 16, 1941 in Greeley, Colorado. Shortly after they moved to San Diego, California where Don joined the Navy. She worked at Rohr Industries as “Rosie the riveter,” something she was very proud of.
Wilma was a hard worker both at work and home. She loved to garden, veggies and flowers. Another favorite happy time was crocheting. She made blankets as gifts to many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, daughter Vicki Jeter and her husband.
She is survived by her son, Arthur of Rifle, CO; granddaughter Ivy (Jason) Thorburn of Durango; grandson Travis Jeter of Durango; granddaughter Deanna (Chris) Padilone of Canon City, CO and 4 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Hood Mortuary Chapel at 2pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021, with burial to follow at Greenmount Cemetery.
