Arnold Jean Luc Darcy known to his friends as Jean Luc Darcy was born in Belgium November 4, 1943. Living in Belgium and France in his younger years. At the age of 13, his mother and stepfather moved to Canada. At 15, they moved to San Rafael, California where he went to high school and college.
Jean Luc served in the military branch of the US Army 23rd Artillery. October 3, 1968, while serving in Vietnam, he was wounded and was awarded the Purple Heart in the line of duty.
Jean Luc received his Naturalization Papers on May 4th 1971. After the passing of his mother in 2000, Jean Luc moved to Silverton, Colorado and lived there until his passing. He was baptized at the Baptist Church in Silverton. Jean Luc had many hobbies, photography and art. He spoke fluent French and read most of his books in French. His favorite pastime was riding his motorcycle, taking many trips across the country and Alaska. He loved marching in the parades for his flag and his country. Jean Luc had no living relatives, but he had many friends over the years. No services are planned at this time.
