Connie was born Feb 15, 1938 in Las Animas, CO where she was raised on a farm before her family moved into town. She attended Bent County High School, and then went to Blair Business College in Colorado Springs. She married Edwin Holley in 1959, and they had 3 children together before divorcing in 1980. She lived in CO almost all of her life, but spent some time in NM while working for Village Inn. She worked at the State Fish Hatchery, as well as Four Corners Rehabilitation in Durango. She was a volunteer with Community Connections, and was quick to assist people in any way possible. Her hobby was her family. Family was a HUGE priority in her life, and she sacrificed time, money, and energy to be with them. Connie was a spunky, smiley, people - person who never met a stranger, and always told them about her family. She passed away Mar 18, 2024 in Colorado Springs following a 1+ year stay in L-T care resiliently overcoming several injuries. Services will be in mid-July 2024 with her ashes to be scattered in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
Connie is survived by Daughter Robin Heskett (Ken), Sons Mark Holley, and Aaron Holley (Cristy). Six Grandchildren (Drew, Jaclyn, Rebecca, Brittny, Cody, Cooper) and four Great Grandchildren (Parker, Jace, Lainey, and June), Sister Linda Mitchell (Roger), Sister-in-Law Peggy Hoffman, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, and long-time companion and friend Dale Ray. She was preceded in death by her Father & Mother (Ray & Dolores Hoffman), and Brother Doug Hoffman. A service will be held July 2024 in Durango, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church or charity of your choice.
