Clorinda Mary Archuleta

Clorinda Mary Archuleta passed away November 7, 2023 at Valley Inn in Mancos, CO. She was born November 19, 1931 in Lumberton, NM to Mary Abeyta Martinez and Patricio Martinez. She married Joe Archuleta of Hesperus in November 1948. She is survived by her children - Carolyn Archuleta of Colorado Springs, Edward Archuleta and his wife Janice of Mancos, Tim Archuleta of Centennial and Mary Jo Archuleta of Aztec, NM., three grandchildren, Joseph and Morgan (Mimi) Archuleta of Mancos and Niklas Bettinger Archuleta of Centennial, and her sister, Josie Romero of Ignacio. She is preceded in her death by her husband, Joseph and two children, Kathleen Archuleta and Danny Archuleta.

She has numerous nieces and nephews across the country who hold her dear in their hearts. Family was very important to her and she maintained contact with her wide extended family and friends (even though she lost her phone regularly).

She never met a stranger and was willing to give or share whatever she had with anyone she met. In the last few years she lived in Centennial and Colorado Springs and has dear friends from both cities. She has maintained friendships her entire life and cherished all of them.

The services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Durango. Rosary at 9:30 AM, Mass at 10:00 AM and graveside service following services at Greenmount Cemetery. Please join the family afterwards at the Sacred Heart Parish hall.
