Obituary for Misty A. Clark

Misty Ann Clark died Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at her home in Durango of a pulmonary embolism. She was 43.

Misty was born October 2, 1968, in Gillette, Wyo., the daughter of Shirley Anne Golden and Bert Wesley Cowan. She graduated from high school. She married Harry Thomas Clark February 14, 2000, and they shared a happy marriage. Misty worked for Western Refining for ten years as an Assistant Manager.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, fishing (her family said she was the best at catching fish), and four wheeling, and she loved the outdoors.

She and her husband, Harry, took a trip to Hawaii in February 2012 to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Harry remembers how excited Misty was to learn the word “shaka,” which means “from my heart to yours.” She enjoyed sharing her fabulous new word with family when she returned from their trip.

Misty is preceded in death by her grandmother, Edna A. Golden, on March 14, 1995, and her mother, Shirley A. Kramer, on May 13, 2009.

She is survived by her husband, Harry T. Clark of Durango, father, James Kramer, of Brighton, Colo., children Michael James Kehn of Grand Junction, Colo., Ronald Gene Kehn, Jr., of Durango, Nicole Devon Kehn of Durango, Eric Weldon Clark of Grand Junction, Adam Lewis Clark and Michael Robert Clark, both of La Junta, Colo.; siblings Tamara Kay Hayes of Bayfield, and Mylinda Jane Davis, Edward Leroy French III, David Allan French, and Debbie Lynn French, all of the Denver area, and Jesse Duane Cowan of Durango; and grandson, Virgil Clark, of Grand Junction.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012, in the gymnasium at Animas Valley Elementary, 373 Hermosa Meadow Road, Durango, with Pastor Glen Walker officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to First National Bank of Durango for the benefit of Misty Clark. Please call 970-247-3020 for more information.
