Carol Ruth Hansen

 Carol was born and raised in Endicott, NY. She graduated from Union-Endicott High School in the class of 1955. In 1957, she married Thomas W. Hansen. Tom worked for IBM, and in 1965, they had the opportunity to relocate from Poughkeepsie, New York, to Boulder, Colorado. They moved their family there and raised their two daughters in Boulder, spending much of her free time reading mystery novels, skiing, hiking, and camping with her family.

After retirement, they settled in Ivins, Utah, to enjoy the desert environment. In retirement, they traveled often and made many cherished memories together. In 2004, Carol moved to Durango to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Leslie Hansen, her son-in-law, Oscar Trono, and her granddaughters, Lila and Willa Trono. She was predeceased by her husband, Tom, and her daughter Erica.
