Obituary for
Robert G. Cardin
Robert “Rob” Glen Cardin, 66, of Farmington, passed away peacefully Jan. 19, 2012, at his home in Colorado from cancer with family by his side.
He was born July 14, 1945, to Hancel and Iva Cardin in Big Springs, Texas. He was a well-established lawyer in Farmington and well known in Durango also. He is survived by his wife, Susan Cardin of Bayfield, Colo.; his sons Christopher Cardin and wife Mellanie of Farmington, N.M.; Nicholas Cardin of Farmington; Trent Stanley of Vancouver, Wash.; Brett Stanley and daughter Ashley Roberts of Bayfield, Colo., and 10 grandchildren. He was well loved, a good man, we will miss him.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at KB Dillions in Farmington. Robert is in the care of Hood Mortuary, 1261 E. 3rd Ave., Durango, CO 81301. Any donations in Roberts name should go to Durango Arts Center, 802 E. 2nd Ave., Durango, CO 81301, which Robert believed was at the heart of the Four Corners cultural advancement for children and adults.
