Jerry Thomas Campion

Gerald "Jerry" Eugene Siglinger was born in Greeley to Dolores Siglinger and Marvin Andersen on November 15, 1965. When he was seven, he and his sister were adopted by Thomas and Jean Campion. Shortly after that they moved to Durango where he was on the swim team and attended local schools until getting his GED at 16. He enjoyed drawing and woodworking. Most of his adult life he worked in the construction and food service industries until rheumatoid arthritis and neuroendocrine cancer disabled him. He died on September 6, 2022. He was 56.
He was preceded in death by his birth parents; half-sisters, Mona Stitt and Kathy Siglinger; and a son, Donald Thomas.
He is survived by his parents Tom and Jean Campion; sisters Terry (Herb) Stinson and Catherine Dougharty; half-siblings George (Linda) Siglinger, Debbie (George) Kreiling, and Patricia Siglinger; numerous nieces and nephews including Gavin Dougharty; companion Cristy Cain, and a number of close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 11am at Marvel Methodist Church (103 CR 133, Marvel, CO). A potluck luncheon will follow.
