Obituary for
Richard L. Campbell
Ignacio resident Richard Lee Campbell died Monday, May 30, 2011, at home. He was 57.
Rich Campbell was born September 23, 1953, in Telluride Colo., to Rollie and Mary Lou Campbell. Rich married Debra Ann Kolstad in Shasta County, Calif., in 1975, divorcing later. They moved to Tacoma, Wash., shortly after marriage.
Rich worked as a professional truck and bus driver starting at the age of 18. His family said his passions were cooking and collecting Griswald cast iron cookware. Most of all, Rich enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Rich is survived by his parents Rollie and Mary Lou "Swan" Campbell of Ignacio, Colo.; brother Lonnie of Puyallup, Wash.; sister Diana Wilcox of Phoenix, Ariz.; son Jason of Tacoma, Wash.; daughter Angela of Kennewick, Wash.; son James of Ignacio, and three grandsons.
A celebration of life will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1690 U.S. Hwy 160B, Bayfield, Colo., with burial services at 2 p.m. at the Wilson Mesa Cemetery near Telluride.
