Obituary for Betty J. Campbell
Betty Jean Campbell of Marvel, Colo., passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 25, 2012, in Mancos, Colo. She was 83.
Mrs. Campbell was born September 25, 1928, in Farmington, N.M., the daughter of Lloyd Orr Long and Matilda Christine (Hellekson) Long.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Campbell; her parents; a sister, Helen Moss; brother, Bob Long; and daughter-in-law, Sue Campbell.
Betty is survived by her two children, Jim Campbell of Cherry Creek, Colo.; and Marla Jean Smith and husband, Neil, of Aurora, Colo.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson; brothers, Bill of Aztec, N.M., and Larry of Farmington; sister-in-law, Mildred Hubbs of Farmington; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the Marvel United Methodist Church, with Gail Judge officiating. Interment will follow at the Marvel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marvel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 122, Marvel, CO 81329.
