Obituary for Kimber M. Brown
Kimber Michelle Brown, 5, died Sunday, February 12, 2012, in Durango. A memorial service will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 5 p.m.. at Fort Lewis College Concert Hall.
Kimber was born May 22, 2006, in Durango, Colo., the daughter of Mike Brown and Raelyn Anderson-Brown. She has grown up in Durango and attended kindergarten at Florida Mesa Elementary. She also is an alumni of the Mercy Medical Center Child Care program. Kimber attended dance classes at Dance in the Rockies, skied at Durango Mountain Resort in the Snowburners program and played soccer in the Durango Parks and Rec league.
Kimber, Florida Mesa School’s January “Student of the Month,” enjoyed so many things about life. She loved music, gymnastics, cheerleading and playing dress up as well as camping with her family. She especially loved her brother, sister and parents, dance, swimming at the lake, boating and soccer.
She is survived by her parents, Mike Brown and Raelyn Anderson-Brown, her sibilings: Kaetlyn and Braeden (all of Durango), her grandparents: Robert and Roxana of Castle Rock, Colo., and Linda Sheets of Durango, great-grandparents: Harold Sheets of Durango, and Mary Kehmeier of Cedar Ridge, Colo., and an aunt: Jacque Northrup of Castle Rock, Colo.
Kimber was preceded in death by Blue Anderson (grandfather), Pat Sheets (great-grandmother), Jack Kehmeier (great-grandfather) and Frances Anderson (great-grandmother).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kimber Brown Memorial at First National Bank of Durango.
