Virgina Lillian Black passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, home surrounded by her family. She was 98 years old. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Evanston, WY.
Virgina was born February 14, 1918, to John Schledwitz and Katherine (Amendt) in Sterling, Colorado.
Other than a homemaker, wife and mother to her three girls, she worked for several years as a nurses aide at the hospital in Evanston, WY. She loved working with the babies. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Virginia loved to knit, crochet, count cross stich and cook.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Roberta Stumberg of Bayfield, CO, & Jill (Pete) Bass of Evanston, WY; grandchildren: Cristy (Aaron) Holley of Bayfield, Tad (Nicolette) Roccaro of Alpine WY, Eric Jensen of Cheyenne, WY, & Ariel (Chris) Dehart of Newcastle, WY; brother: Paul Schledwitz of Eugene, OR, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson on the way.
She is preceded in death by husbands Joe Roccaro and John Black, and her daughter: Jody Roccaro
