Obituary for
Corella L. Bisping
Corella Lee Bisping, 82, died Sunday, October 14, 2012, after a brief stay at The Valley Inn of Mancos, Colorado. Graveside service will be held November 10, 2012, in Peotone, Illinois.
Mrs. Bisping was born August 25, 1930, in Manteno, Illinois, the daughter of Clarence and Rebecca Monnette. She grew up and attended schools in Manteno. She married Marvin Lee Bisping on December 5, 1950, in Monee, Illinois. They lived in Peotone, Illinois, before moving to Durango for their retirement in 1985.
Corella and her spouse of 40 years deeply enjoyed their family with many miles and hours of vacation time with children and grandchildren. Corella continued her cross country trips after her spouse’s death and became very involved with a close network of friends she met through a grief support group they named WINGS (Widows In Need of Group Support) referred by the Women’s Resource Center.
She is survived by Richard Bisping (son) of San Antonio, TX, Randy Bisping (son) of Spring Lake, MI, Robin Awe (daughter) and Rhonda Bisping (daughter), both of Durango. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Marlene Hamilton, of Columbia, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her spouse Marvin Bisping (1991), and siblings Norman Monnette and Thelma Schulz.
