Traci D. Berlin-Wyngaert
Traci D. Berlin-Wyngaert, 48, died Saturday, March 15, 2014. Services will be announced at a later date. She passed away due to natural causes. Traci was born March 16, 1965 in Los Angeles, Calif. the daughter of Harry and Joan Berlin. She grew up in LA and finished her primary education. Traci lived in San Francisco and then moved to Sonora, Calif. to work with the forest service. It was there that she met Allan Wyngaert. The couple later moved to Roswell, NM. They were married April 20, 1993 in Tini, N.M. Traci returned to school as a non-traditional student at Highlands University for her Bachelor’s and continued on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Social work. Allan and Traci visited Durango in 2007 and Traci decided this is where she wanted to live. The family moved to Durango in 2012. Traci loved kayaking and skiing; she enjoyed most outdoor activities and her walks around her home with her dogs and family. She crafted stained glass works of art. Traci also enjoyed cooking and renovating and fixing up the family home – truly making their house a home. Traci collected and enjoyed her family and friends. She is survived by her husband Allan Wyngaert and daughter Whitney Wyngaert both of Durango, Colo., her mother, Joan Lipson of Los Angeles, Calif., a sister, Michelle Giselle of Ione, Calif., and a brother, Greg Berlin of Reno, Nev. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Berlin. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Annie’s Orphans, Adaptive Sports of Durango, or a charity of preference in Traci’s name.
