Lowell O. "Mike" Bell
Lowell O. “Mike” Bell passed away August 17, 2014 in Durango, Colorado at the age of 83. He was born on August 16, 1931 in Viburnum, MO to Henry and Letha Bell. His family moved to Pagosa Springs, Colorado in 1947 where they worked for Day Lumber Company. He married Twilah L. (Montroy) Bell on August 16, 1949 in Sante Fe, NM. They moved to Durango in 1955, where they raised 3 sons, Ronald, Micky and Dale. Mike was a policeman for the City of Durango and reached the position of Sargent. He then worked for Weidman Sawmill hauling logs with his own trucks. After Mr. Weidman sold out he drove freight trucks for ONC Freight Company.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Twilah Bell of Durango, sons Ronald (Barbara) Bell of Dayton, Oregon, Micky (Debbie) Bell of Ignacio, and Dale Bell. He has four grandchildren, Christine Graham and family of Austin, Tx and Bayfield, CO, Michelle Lengal and husband Travis of Aztec, NM, Shawn Bell and family of Arizona, Lori Fuller and family of Texas. He is also survived by numerous siblings, nieces and nephews.
