Obituary for Linda C. Baty
Linda Charlieta Baty (neé Brogan), died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Four Corners Health Care Center in Durango, Colo. after a long illness. She was 67.
Linda was born September 22, 1944, in Telluride, Colo., the daughter of Charles Franklin Brogan and Ella Rebecca Brogan (neé Gray). She attended Cyprus High school in Magna, Utah. She was married in the summer of 1962 to Glen Joe Baty in Magna. The marriage later ended in divorce.
She lived in Cortez, Colo., in the 1960's and early 70's. She was a member of the Church of the First Born in Cortez. In her later years she lived at Four Corners Health Care Center in Durango.
Linda enjoyed gardening and art, and she drew and painted freehand. Her favorite place to eat was Subway. Just before her death, she enjoyed a meal at Subway with family, and her great-great nephew, Charlie, made her day with enthusiastic hugs and attention.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sally Fay Clauson (neé Brogan), and her brother, Charles Franklin Brogan, Jr., and her great-grandson Isen Tucksen.
She is survived by her sister Ella Beth Carvell of Dove Creek, Colo., her children Charlieta Faye Baty of Sweet Home, Ore., and Becky Eleen Whelchel of Montana, 10 grandkids, numerous great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
