Florence "Flossie" Baker
Florence “Flossie” Baker passed away on August 19, 2014 at Sunshine Gardens Country Home, where she lived for three years and was cared for lovingly. At her request no services are planned.
She was born to Everett V. Waddell and Lillian J. Morris-Waddell on September 24, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York. She was a homemaker who spent most of her life in Oklahoma raising her children and caring for her pets. She belonged to the Eastern Stars, was a life member of the DAV auxiliary, and the American Legion auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over fifty years, Frank C. Baker. She is also preceded in death by her son, Larry Baker of Oklahoma and her brother, Everett “Scoop” Waddell of Durango, her sister, Irene Ferdinando of Durango, Evelyn Knoll of Aztec, and sister Dorothy Payson of Oklahoma.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Cammos of Missouri and one grandson, two great-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family truly appreciates the care she received from the staff at Sunshine Gardens Country Home where she was cared for like family.
