Clara Aspromonte-Piccoli
Clara Aspromonte- Piccoli, 63, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, in Durango.
A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Joseph Gallegos C.R. of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be officiating and burial of cremated remains will follow the Mass at Greenmount Cemetery
Mrs. Piccoli grew up in Durango and graduated from Durango High School. She attended college at Fort Lewis College in Durango and obtained a teaching degree. Clara married Robert L. Piccoli in Denver on July 17, 1982. The family returned to Bayfield, Colo., in December of 1994, and she worked for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe until she retired about a year ago.
Clara enjoyed golfing, playing Sudoku, reading, hunting mushrooms, boating, and spending time with her friends; she loved being a grandmother.
Clara is survived by her children: Scott Eric Piccoli (son) and his wife, Jakelyn, of Seabrook, Texas; Jason Lawrence Piccoli (Son) of Riverton, Wyo.; Carrie Lynn Paschall (daughter) and her husband, Shawn, of Fort Worth, Texas; Michelle Gee (daughter) and her husband, James, of Phoenix, Ariz.; Nichole Watters (daughter) of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren: Gavin A. and Emily E. Paschall of Fort Worth, Texas; and Sophia I. and Grace A. Piccoli of Seabrook, Texas; siblings: Dean Aspromonte and his wife, Carolyn, of Durango; Johnny Aspromonte and his wife, Gail, of Aztec, N.M.; Angela “Angie” Aspromonte of Santa Maria, Calif.; grandchildren: Jenna and Chase Stegall, Grace I. and Sophia A. Piccoli of Seabrook, Texas; Gavin and Emily Paschall of Fort Worth, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Piccoli; daughter, April Piccoli; parents, Charles and Grace Aspromonte; and brother, Dominic Aspromonte.
