Marjorie Pound

Marjorie Genie Pound passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at a family members home in Kline, Colorado. She was 87 years old.
Genie was born March 16, 1931, to Basil and Enid (Brush) Ellisand in Howesville, Indiana. She moved to Blackhawk, Indiana in the Mid-1940's. She graduated from Blackhawk Highschool. Genie worked at the Vigo County Court House and Maumee Collieries Company (Coal Mine). She married Vernon Leroy Pound on July 27, 1956 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Genie was a member of the Blackhawk EUB Church. She enjoyed painting, sewing, gardening and just about every task that makes a house a home.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Vernon; daughter: Teresa Ann Smith of Blackhawk, IN; son: Dennis Le Roy Pound (Lisa) of Kline, CO; grandchildren: Amber, Erin, Nils, Kaleb, Mitchell, Rhett and Devon; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings: Rose Marie Chris of Indiana, and Linda Campbell of Blackhawk; and many close friends and extended family
She is preceded in death by siblings: Max Ellis and Doris Crandle; and her parents.
