Condolences

Condolence From: "Joeski" Gaertner
Condolence: I met Tamsen back in her support years at IBM. She was such a blast! Her and I did a few road trips in the CO mountains. She was always up for anything! Such a personality will always be deeply missed.

Condolence: Taz was my first "gardening godmother" at the Ohana Kuleana Community Garden. I remember her warmth, kindness and healthy irreverence fondly. My deepest sympathy to Jeff and the rest of Tamsen's family.

Condolence From: Jeff Hunt
Condolence: I was so fortunate to know and work with Tamsen. She was such a warm, intelligent and high energy person. She was always happy to see people and it seemed that everyone she met was an instant friend. Tamsen always spoke with joy when sharing stories about "My Jeff". I'm sorry to hear of Tamsen's passing and she will be greatly missed. Heaven just gained a lovely soul.

Condolence From: Sharyl Gliva
Condolence: I met Tamsen in the mid 1980's to watch a Superbowl game with some other friends from IBM. She was still getting ready and we sat in the bathroom talking while she put on her makeup like we had already been friends for years. Tamsen remained one of my closest friends for almost 35 years. She always lifted my spirits and saw the best in everyone and every experience. I feel blessed to have known her. I will miss her dearly but I will keep her smile and kind spirit with me always.

Condolence: Such sad news. I haven't seen Tamsen in many years but remember fondly her enthusiastic, positive, honest personality. She was a breath of fresh air in the many AFP meetings she attended regularly while at IBM.

Condolence From: Donna and Don Woker
Condolence: I first knew Tamsen (to us she was Tami) in the fall of 1971. The first two years I just knew her as that amazing oboe player. During our junior year, I was finally good enough to make the top concert band, and we became very close friends. She had the most amazing spirit! She was not only incredibly talented, super smart, and adorable, she also was so filled with joy it was impossible not to love her! And she was generous with her joy and optimism. I always felt better just being around her. I knew she was having kind of a tough time in her first year of teaching. She was a bridesmaid at our wedding and then I only saw her one other time. When I looked for her I couldn't find her! After many years of searching, finally she got in touch with one of our mutual friends, who let me know! I was so happy. We talked a few times on the phone, for hours! I'm so thankful to learn that she had found so much happiness and contentment in Colorado, with all of her "new" friends! I'm also thankful I got the chance to catch up with her and hear that caring voice again. Mostly, I'm thankful that Don and I were privileged to know her and that she was a big part of my life during a very formative time. She was a wonderful friend and such a sweet, gentle soul. I'm so very sorry for the great loss you are experiencing. I know she lives on in the smiles, memories, and kind deeds she inspired in all of her friends. I know we will meet again one day. Praying for peace and comfort for all who loved her - and I know that was many!
