Josephine Fletcher

August 23, 1935 — August 28, 2018

Josephine was a fun loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great grandmother she loved her whole family more than life itself.
She was born in Ignacio , CO Her parents were Earl and Lois Harris.
Josephine was very talented. She was a great cook and no one left her table hungry. She also could bake treats that made the neighbors come visit just see what goodies she had hot and yummy!
Her house was the house all the kids gathered but if her children went someplace with the other kids she could whistle and all the kids headed to their homes and her kids knew to get home too!
She had a heart of gold and silver and would do anything for her family and friends! When she made friends she and them became life time friends!
She enjoyed sewing clothes, curtains, and quilts on her treadle machine until she got an electric machine and really expanded her skills
Jo was a foster mother to over 50 babies and toddlers in a 5 year span. The caseworkers knew when they came to pick a baby up they needed to bring her another one to lessen the tears!
Jo could be a crack up and very funny fast thinker! Even at the end of her life she had family laughing, just so she could see them smile!
Jo was blessed to have a wonderful husband Carl who passed way too soon; before they could live the vision of retirement together by the lake.
Jo’s 4 children were as different as they could be, but she could sense what each one needed or wanted! She was very proud of each one for the adults they had become! But above and beyond that for all 15 grandchildren, 20 1/2 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren that she was blessed to love !
Jo said I know I am not going to be here much longer but it’s not that I am dying I am rejoicing that I lived! But feeling lucky I will get to be reunited with family and friends already passed on and know I will get to see all of you again!
Cheers to a lady we were blessed to Love as she Loved us!!!
