Patricia Louise Hart was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on February 2, (Ground Hog Day) 1948 to Wilfred and Agnes Hart. She was the second of three children, Michael being the oldest and Barbara being the youngest. Wilfred’s career was in the Air Force and therefore the family moved frequently whenever he would be transferred. From New Hampshire the family was moved to Hawaii, then to southern California and eventually settled in Northglenn, Colorado. At the age of fifteen she met Dana Crownover, the oldest son of Donald and Mary Crownover of Thornton, Colorado. The two soon became a couple that would be together for the next 55 years. Pat and Dana graduated from Meritt Hutton High School in Thornton. Pat was at the top of her class and was salutatorian at her graduation ceremony. Through her younger years, she considered becoming a marine biologist but later changed her mind and decided she would be happier as a devoted wife and mother. As a result, she declined to accept a 4- year Regents Scholarship to the University of Colorado. By this time, Wilfred and Agnes had been transferred to Dayton Ohio. At the age of 18, Pat refused to leave Dana to go to Dayton, and much to her father’s dismay, stayed behind. Pat and Dana were married at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Thornton, Colorado on June 8, 1968. They were both 20 years old. They started their lives sleeping on a borrowed bed and living the first year in the Hart family home in Northglenn vacated when the family was sent to Dayton. Dana worked the first year at Whites Department Store in Thornton. Pat was a Secretary to the Adams County District Attorney. After the first year they moved into an apartment in the Wash Park area and shortly thereafter to a duplex in west Denver where they spent the next 5 years. On August 18, 1970, Anjeanette Renee Crownover was born. On May 17, 1973, Jason Eli Crownover arrived by breech birth in a very difficult delivery. A vehicular accident just before Christmas in 1970 almost took her life. In 1974 the couple bought their first home in South Denver where they would spend the next 5 years. Using the equity from their home, they bought a residential lot in Parker, Colorado and built a custom home in an area known as the Pinery. They would spend the next 30 years in Parker where Angie and Jason would attend Ponderosa High School and both would become graduates of Colorado State University. Angie decided early on that she was going to become a veterinarian. Jason took a little longer to choose his career and became a fireman for the North Metro Fire Department. Jason was married September 6, 2003 to Jeny Zander. They currently live in Westminster, Colorado and have two boys, Aiden Lennon Cownover,13 and Jude Alexzander Crownover, 10. Angie married Michael Pacheco in June of 2006 and settled in San Antonio. Their daughter was born on October 11, 2011 and became Patricia Hope Pacheco named after her grandmother, Patricia.
Once the kids were raised and out of the house, Dana and Pat set their sights on a retirement home. They bought a small acreage south of Durango in LaPlata County and after retiring, moved to Durango where they built their dream home. After enjoying 4 years living in the Durango area, Pat was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor which would take her life one year later, May 8, 2018. She is survived by husband, Dana M. Crownover; brother Michael Hart in Boulder, Colorado; sister Barbara Day in Broomfield Colorado; daughter Angie Pacheco, son-in-law Michael Pacheco and granddaughter Tricia Pacheco in San Antonio; son Jason Crownover, daughter-in-law Jeny Crownover and two grandsons Aiden and Jude Crownover in Westminster, Colorado.
