Rosana Archuleta

Rosana “Rose” Archuleta passed away on August 3, 2017 at 9:50 p.m. at Four Corners Nursing Home, at the young age of 92. She was born one of five girls in the area now known as Tiffany-Arboles, Colorado to Jose Anacleto Sisneros and Maria Emelia (Archuleta). She grew up in this rural area learning to farm and tend to all the different animals on the farm.
She was married at the age of 19 to George Archuleta and together they had 6 children: Emma, Gloria, Eleanor, Leo, Leonard and Charles.
Eusebio (also known as “John”) Sosa, Jr. has been a faithful companion of Rose for over 45 years, helping with her children over the years. He respected and loved Rose for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her four sisters: Margarita, Melinda, Mary and Adelina; as well as her three beautiful daughters: Emma, Gloria and Eleanor.
She is survived by her three sons: Leo, Leonard and Charles; as well as her longtime companion, John Sosa, Jr., as well as many extended family and friends. “We were truly blessed to have her in our lives…on loan from our Heavenly Father.”

The family extends their gratitude to Four Corners Nursing Home, Hospice of Mercy and Durango Fire and Protection for all their kindness.
There will be a service on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Durango, where the Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 a.m. Anyone and everyone in the community is welcome to join the family to pay their respects to their dear mother, Rosana.
