Nellie M. Mestas passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 peacefully surrounded by her family. She was 84 years old. Nellie was born May 4, 1932, to Henry Aragon and Eva L. Jacquez in Durango, Colorado.
She is survived by her children; Lonnie (Louann),Vickie (Dale), Toby (Jeri), Betty (Fernando), Phillip (Michelle) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joe T. Mestas, sons Henry and Jimmie "Mosquo" Mestas, her parents, and 2 brothers and a sister.
A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Burial will occur at Ignacio West Cemetery.
