Gladys Thompson passed away peacefully in her home In Durango on 12/14/2016 at the age of 96. She was born on November 13, 1920 as the sixth child of seven. She grew up on the family farm outside Braddock ND. She married Morris (Mo) Thompson in August 1945. She traveled around the country as an Air Force Officers wife and lived in 7 states as well as Taiwan and Iceland. When Mo retired from the Air Force and attended Trinity University to finish his teaching degree, Gladys went back to school at St. Mary’s to become a LPN. When she took her state boards, she scored the highest in the state of Texas. She worked at Mercy for many years. She loved skiing and golf. She won the Hillcrest club championship numerous times and was a Colorado Nastar All Star in the 70-79 age group in 1991-1992. She was proceeded in death by Mo and her son, Roger. She is survived by her sister Martha (age 99), her son, Greg, grandson, Greg Jr., granddaughter, Stacy, and great granddaughter, Madeline.
