Donna Evans

On Thursday, March 6, 2014 Donna Rea Evans, 81, went to the Lord from complications of Alzheimer’s in Durango, Colorado, surrounded by friends and family. Donna is survived by her husband Bert Evans, children Ronsie Harvey, San Diego, Calif., Rick Hessler, Durango,Colo., Kristy Oliver, Bosise, Idaho. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Donna was born in Ottawa, Kansas on August 15, 1932, the daughter of Al and Imogene Anderson. Donna loved the outdoors and traveling. She studied the Bible and had a strong Christian faith. She never met a stranger and had friends galore! Her dream was to live surrounded by mountains, scenery and wildlife. In 1990 she moved to Durango where she met the man of her dreams, Bert Evans. They were married in 1991. A service and family gathering will be on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Durango Cowboy Church at 2601 Junction Creek. There will be a reception immediately following the service then graveside service to follow.
