Obituary for Mary C. Young
Mary Carolyn Young, 81, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Four Corners Health Care Center in Durango, Colo., after a long battle with ALS. Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, Neil Wolf, in 2003 and son, Stan Wolf.
She is survived by her husband, Hank Young, of Durango; her oldest daughter, Lynn Stuntz, of Loveland, Colo.; son, Sid, and his wife, Deb Wolf, of Denver; and another daughter, Deb and her husband, Art Sorensen, of Loveland.
She is also survived by her sisters Celina Valdez, Mary Chavez, Claudine Garcia, Emma Herrera, Della Moreno, Alice Vigil and a brother, Rick Duran. Also grandchildren: Jessica, Libby, Rock, Cody, Matt and Ammie and their families.
Carolyn loved to cook, sew, quilt, garden and fish. “Most of all she loved her family,” fondly recall her family.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter-St. Rosa Catholic Church in Arboles. Burial of ashes will take place at Rosa Cemetery following the mass. A reception will follow the burial.
